The idea

One table A reason to gather

A good game of pool gives people a reason to show up. A little friendly competition, a few regulars, and something to keep getting better at.

PoolSkoolx starts there. It connects people who want to learn with people who love to teach, at the rooms and bars that have the tables.

years at the table

10 in Poland28 around Chicago

He knows the rooms He knows the people

PoolSkoolx was built by a player who has spent decades in Chicago pool. He knows the room owners, the bar owners who still keep a table, and the people who run the local leagues.

His read on the good players he knows: they'd rather get paid to teach than stand around waiting for the next game.

Chicago already has a pool story. Marie's Golden Cue. Chris's Billiards. Rooms that taught this city to play. Nobody here is pretending the game is new.

Where it's headed

You grew up playing Now bring the kids

A lot of us learned pool before the internet, in basements, rec rooms and neighborhood bars. Now we've got kids old enough to come along, and not many clean, friendly places to take them.

The idea is simple. Pool can be what youth soccer is for families. Lessons on the weekend, somebody to cheer for, a game you share.

Like soccer. Without the uniforms.

The honest question

A skepticYou don't need lessons. You just pick up a cue and play.
The answerSomebody taught every decent player. Usually an uncle.

An uncle, an older brother, the regular who took pity on you. Everybody who plays well learned from somebody. Most people just never got lucky enough to have that somebody.

People pay a personal trainer for the same reason. They're buying the shortcut.

A little guidance A whole new game

The missAim at the middle of the 5

It's what everybody does first. The 5 goes straight into the rail, nowhere near the pocket.

The fixAim at the ghost ball

Picture a ball touching the 5, lined up with the pocket. Send the cue ball to that spot instead.

The makeSame shot, different result

One idea, taught the same way at every table. Now picture a whole season of them.

The standard

Lots of people play well We vouch for ours

A lesson in a corner bar teaches the same thing as a lesson in a suburban pool room. That standard is the whole point.

  • ID-verified

Every teacher proves who they are before they teach anybody.

  • Certified on one method

Trained through the PoolSkoolx videos, so the fundamentals are the same everywhere.

  • At a real table

Lessons happen in real rooms with open tables. No guessing where to go.

How it could work

A room, a coach A table waiting

  1. Find your place

Pick a room near you, from a corner bar to a full pool room.

  2. Meet your coach

Your favorite, or whoever's open. Every one verified and certified.

  3. Make time to play

Book a lesson, build some confidence and keep coming back to the table.

This is a concept preview. Booking, coach matching and scheduling open at launch.

Let's build this together

Bring your venue to the table

Your tables sit empty on Tuesday afternoon. Let's put a lesson on them.

  • Paid table time on your slow nights.
  • Customers who come to learn, not to wreck the felt.
  • The teacher runs the lesson. Your staff keeps doing their job.
  • Families and first-timers who turn into regulars.
